As a man in fashion, we need to be open to the endless possibilities that comes along with being invested in fashion. For myself, I don’t let clothing define my gender or sexuality. I wear what I like and feel comfortable in. To me, fashion shouldn’t be labeled as ‘mens’ or ‘ladies’, but more so on their fit, material, and comfort. If something fits and I am comfortable in it, I am choosing to wear that item; no matter what gender category it lands under. This is something I am very passionate about, and I have a special connection to the colour lavender. The colour blue is often associated with boys, and the colour pink is associated with girls. When mixing both of those colours together, you are given the colour purple, or lavender. I wear both mens and ladies clothing, but I look at it just as a sign of expression and uniqueness. To my readers, don’t be afraid to wear what you want! Life is too short to care if something falls under a category society has deemed unwearable for your gender. Break the rules!
